History
Encounter Church is a member of the Elim Foursquare Gospel Alliance, and was established on 11th September 2011 as a plant from the Elim Oasis Centre in Livingston. Pastor Jimmie Vowles headed up the move to Bathgate and is still the Pastor of Encounter Church to this day. Although we don't have our own building, we do meet each Sunday at the Bathgate Partnership Centre, in the town centre.
Keeping
the Faith
Our desire as a Bible-believing church is to reflect and expose the amazing nature, heart and character of Jesus, and to represent Him in our community. Over the years, we have been out on the streets, in the market place, and in the precinct sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, praying for people, and proclaiming the Word of God.
Spiritual
Community
Since we first started, we have been here to serve the people of Bathgate and West Lothian. We see ourselves as a family of believers who accept and value those that God has brought to us, and since we are a relatively small community, we are able to get to know each other well and offer prayer and support within a loving Christian family environment.
